Truck Story

The story of The 3 Little Pigs Souvlaki

I found this van in Greece. It was branded a Lavazza coffee van. It was doing the rounds on the Greek islands serving Lavazza coffee. It had come to the end of a couple of seasons and they were looking to get rid of it, so I bought it, shiped it up and gave it a new life.

Make & Model

Type 2 1977 Volks Wagen Camper. I chose this truck as it is a very well know classic model that draws a lot of attention and especially so in the way I have converted it.

Specialty

Greek Souvlkai. I grew up in Australia to Greek immigrant parents. We had BBQ's almost every weekend since we were kids. The preparation right through to the recovery were epic times. These great memories I made, I feel now I can pass on.

Ideal Customer

People who appreciate the detail in food preparation and the cooking process. They can notice the little touches and care taken in the process.

Self Supporting

Yes. We can carry 40 litres of water and run an LPG generator to power us.

Signature Dish

Pork souvlaki. Marinated and cooked over the coals exactly like we did back in the 70's!

Private Events

Yes. We enjoy the private events because people are looking for something different, so we come into our own. Minimum booking outside of London is 75 covers. Within London the minimum is 30 covers We need to know what they are looking for in terms of courses served and dietary requirements.
